The Birthplace of Smart Steps

Smart Steps was first established at Raphoe Central N.S. in August 2023.

What began as a response to local need has grown into a trusted, structured school-age childcare service embedded within the school community.

Since opening, we have supported hundreds of children to play, create, explore and grow in a safe, familiar school environment.

Smart Steps operates in close partnership with school leadership and the Board of Management, ensuring that our service aligns with school policies, ethos and safeguarding standards.

About the School:

Raphoe Central is a vibrant mixed primary school serving the Raphoe community and surrounding rural areas.

The school caters to approximately 180 pupils and is located between the towns of Lifford (9km) and Letterkenny (13km) in the rural market village of Raphoe
